An ideal place for a family camping vacation is the Petite Suisse family campground, which is situated just to the east of the River Ourthe in Dochamp. The region is filled with scenic woods, streams, cliffs, and mountains and the area, just like the campground, is known as Little Switzerland.
The campsite is open all year round and features a swimming pool, entertainment, sports tournaments, and exciting treasure hunts for campers of all ages.
For the children, there’s also a playground and climbing equipment. Adults can enjoy the tennis court as well as rent a bike so they can explore the fantastic local countryside.
The campground is also a great place to use as a home base as there are many interesting towns located in the vicinity, such as Durbury and La Roche.
There are also other attractions close by including the Hotton Caves, Houtopia Kid’s World, and the Plopsacoo amusement park.
The campground allows dogs and barbecues. It also has provides internet access, washing machines to keep your clothes clean, selected groceries, and a toddlers’ pool.
While Petite Suisse may not be considered a wild outdoor camping area, it’s an ideal spot for families to get away to for a few days and explore the surrounding area.
