Because of its location, Darien Lake is quite a popular camping resort/theme park with both Americans and Canadians.
The campground is situated just across the Canadian-American border in New York State. It’s between Rochester and Buffalo and just under an hour from Niagara Falls. The campground accepts Canadian and American money.
The site offers camping for tents and recreational vehicles and even offers some hotel rooms and cabins. If you don’t own an RV, it’s not a problem as the campground also rents them out.
Darien Lake is a favourite place for families with children to visit as the park features several attractions and rides for youngsters. Pets are also allowed and season passes are available.
There is a total of over 600 shady, wooded, sunny and grassy campsites to choose from and they are all located within walking distance to the theme park. It’s a popular site to sleep next to the fire under the stars.
The campsites are separated into tiers and they’re categorized by the distance from the park. So tier 1 is the closest and tier 3 is the furthest.
The campsite offers 20 amp electrical services with water for those who require it. Showers and bath houses are also available and there is a café, store, gift shop, and Laundromat on site.
Darien Lake is an ideal place for people who’d like to combine some camping with the thrilling rides of a theme park.
