There are dozens of quaint campgrounds to choose from in the small European nation of Belgium. One of these is Le Pommier Rustique, which is located on Rue De Spontin at the edge of the village of Durnal. The site is open all year long for tent, caravan, and motor home campers and there are also some vacation motor homes for rent.
The campground sits on the picturesque green slopes of a hillside and offers a warm and welcoming ambience. The area is surrounded by natural beauty as it’s located at the head of the scenic Bocq Valley. It’s pretty easy to reach even though it’s in the countryside as it sits just a couple of miles off of the Luxemburg-Brussels motorway. The campground has plenty of activities and areas to keep restless ones busy as it has a playground for children, volleyball and basketball areas, soccer fields, table tennis, petanque, a trampoline, go-carts and bike rental. There are several other things close by such as waterskiing on the river Meuse, local caves, swimming pools, playgrounds, an animal park, shopping, horseback riding, and hiking trails. Dogs are also welcome.
The site offers electric hook-ups, gas refills, showers, toilets, laundry facilities, baths, chemical disposal, a television room, a games room, a bar, restaurant/café, and internet access. The campground is a vacation type of site that’s ideal for family vacations. There’s more than enough for children and active adults to do on the site during the day and evening.
However, if you’d like to get out and explore the local countryside you’ll also find several places of interest in the nearby area. These include a castle, amazing underground grotto, and charming towns where you can look into the local history and culture.
