Many people who go camping like to go fishing while they are out there because there is something relaxing about sitting on the water and waiting for that first nibble. A fishing backpack is a necessity for any serious fisherman out in the wild because you need to be able to combat anything that the fish throw your way.

You would not want to be left out there without the right tools because it may affect your ability to catch some dinner.

Many people like the idea of fishing on their camping trips because it’s always nice to be able to catch some fish to eat for dinner at the end of a long day. There is something very tribal and natural about eating something that you caught in the wild, and that is why you need to make sure you bring your fishing backpack along for the ride. Anyone who wants to make sure they get some fish is going to need a backpack if they are going to be able to carry all of their gear.

A backpack for fishing is going to be somewhat similar to a tackle box, but you have to carry the backpack when you are going to be in the wild. It’s much easier to carry all of your tools on your back, so there is really no need for the tackle box. As long as you have all of the equipment that you are going to need, you can go ahead and leave the tackle box at home.

What can you put in your fishing backpack?

You can put everything that you could possibly need in a fishing backpack because they are made to hold plenty of different items. There will be different pockets and zippers for different types of fishing supplies, so make sure that you are putting all of the supplies in the right areas. You won’t be able to find anything later on if you just stuff it all into one spot, so try to make sure that you keep your backpack somewhat organized.

When you are searching for your own backpack, you should try to make sure you get something that isn’t going to fall apart after a few days. Most people should be able to find some quality backpacks in their local areas, but some of you will probably have to do your shopping online. Everyone should actually at least check the prices online because you never know when one of the online stores are going to have a huge sale on this kind of stuff.

Make sure to get everything that you need

If you are going to spend the money to get a fishing backpack then you need to make sure that you have some supplies to throw in there. Anyone who has a backpack is going to want to fill it up to the top with the right supplies, so make sure that you get a few things to throw in there before you head to the lake or river.

There are plenty of places around the world to enjoy all types of fishing. Some of them are quite popular while others may come as a bit of a surprise to you. These are 10 of the best locations to enjoy a day-long fishing adventure.

1. Florida Keys, Florida, USA

The Marquesas Keys, which lie just off of the west coast of Key West, is one of the top spots in Florida. There’s a wide variety of marine life, such as barracuda and shark and there are several charter companies down there to take you out for some of the best fishing anywhere on the globe.

2. Sutherland, Scotland

If you’re interested in fishing at the Kyle of Sutherland in Scotland, make sure you head there from Monday to Saturday as there’s no fishing allowed on Sundays. This beautiful area is well known for its endless supply of sea and brown trout as well as salmon. To make things even easier, the Kyle of Sutherland Angling Association published a pamphlet to let fishermen know where the best spots are.

3. Sicily, Italy

This is one of the best areas in the world to try your hand at spear fishing. It’s as basic as it sounds. You just dive into the shallow water and then spear the fish. Of course it’s not as easy as it sounds and you need to be pretty patient.

4. Phuket, Thailand

This gorgeous island off the coast of Thailand is ideal for deep sea fishing. There are plenty of fish in the clear, colorful waters in the Andaman Sea. You’ll find swordfish, black and blue marlin, and tuna fish here. However, there’s a catch-and-release policy, which means you won’t get the chance to cook your catch. It’s still a great time though.

5. Cape Town, South Africa

The South African coastline is filled with tuna fish. However, they’re fighters, so be prepared for a struggle when reeling in the big ones. The area also features some excellent scenery and you’ll be able to see killer whales, dolphins, and albatross. The tuna season runs between September and June.

6. Newfoundland, Canada

This eastern Canadian province has some of the best-tasting fish on the planet, especially the cod, Arctic char, and rainbow trout. If you’d like to catch salmon, then head inland to Flowers River. The east coast is best for saltwater fish like mackerel and yellowtail. The scenery’s also amazing.

7. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

This is probably the best location in the world for catching marlin. There are also over 3,000 types of marine life off of the Baja Peninsula. Fishing charters are common here and they run all year round.

8. Puget Sound, Washington, USA

Puget Sound is pretty close to Seattle, making it an ideal fishing spot for a day trip. The water is usually calm and it’s a great place to escape from the city. The scenery is spectacular and salmon are in abundance. Charters are available.

9. Montauk Point, New York, USA

Montauk Point is actually a glacial cliff that’s located on Long Island’s east coast. It’s a popular spot with fishing enthusiast from New York, Philadelphia, and Boston. There’s plenty of striped bass, shark, and tuna. Charters are available.

10. Victoria, Australia

One of the best locations here is Bass Strait, which Victoria from the Australian island of Tasmania. The seas are often pretty rough, but it’s worth it to see and try and catch a variety of sharks, including great hammerheads, school, spurred dog, and gummy sharks.

Every fisherman has a dream. Usually these people have a favorite kind of fish that they would like to catch and that might be the Tiger fish. These are big fishes and they can be found only in certain locations of the world. This is why they are so tempting for the majority of the fishermen.

Actually, there are several different kinds of Tiger fish, and they are best known for the huge teeth they have.

Also another interesting fact about this species is that they are really acrobatic for their size, and this is one of the reasons for which they are difficult to catch.

There are numerous agencies that offer you the experience of a lifetime by taking you to Africa for fishing.

According to those people who have gone through such an experience, the trips are well organized.

There is someone waiting for the tourist at the airport, and they take good care of the fishermen.

The best time to go on such a trip is July-November, but you should know that the agencies are accepting only 6 people at once. The location you will be fishing in is the Congo River, but the exact location is a secret one.

You might travel to Kinshasa by plane, and you should plan this trip in advance, because you also need a visa. After getting to the airport, you will travel by train, minibus, jeep or other means.

Don’t forget that this isn’t a luxury camping experience. You will have to sleep in a tent, and the air in this area is humid.

Besides the visa, you will also need to think about vaccinations against different kinds of illnesses, such as the yellow fever. All these take time, and so the tourism agency suggests you start the preparations 3 months in advance.

There’s nothing quite as satisfying as catching your own dinner when going camping. All you really need to pull it off is a fishing rod and a worm and head out to some of Canada’s best lakes and rivers. These are some of the most popular fishing locations in that nation.

1. Margaree Lodge Resort, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia
This is one of the area’s oldest fishing establishments. You’ll be able to find a good supply of fish such as Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Atlantic salmon, all of which will make an excellent supper around the campfire.

2. Fireside Lodge, Little Vermilion Lake, Ontario
The waters here are spring-fed. They’re also quite cold and deep. There are numerous reefs, weed beds, and bays in the area which are excellent natural structures for holding fish. It’s definitely one of Canada’s best sport fishing spots.

3. Grey River Lodge, Newfoundland
This is well known as the best wilderness river in the east coast province. It’s an ideal location for fly fishing as there is a lot of Atlantic salmon here. It’s also a superb place for nature viewing and hiking.

4. Big Whiteshell Lodge, Rennie, Manitoba
This location is ideal at any time of the year. You can relax on the sandy beach during the summer and enjoy snow sports there in the winter. It’s one of the best places to catch northern pike, smallmouth bass, and walleye.

5. Tambir Cottage, Rice Lake, Ontario
The scenery here is spectacular and the fishing is just as good. Rice Lake is just east of Toronto, Canada’s biggest city and it’s filled with pickerel, bass, walleye, Muskie, sunfish, perch, and blue-gill.

6. Corbeau Lodge, Lake Kapawa, Quebec
You can only reach this spot by plane and boat as it’s quite remote. It’s an ideal lake to catch walleye, lake trout, and northern pike in. It’s also one of the most scenic lakes in all of North America.

With the spring coming very close, the thoughts of spring break are crossing our mind and with them the need to escape the cities.

For fishing passionate, the spring break is nothing but the perfect opportunity to go out and enjoy the first days of warm weather fishing they waited for. May offers you the opportunity to go and enjoy the challenges of fishing on the Sidney Lake.

As the warm weather comes and the ice on the lake melts, the chance to fish walleye rises up. This is the spawning period for this fish and their natural habitat for spawning are the shallow waters from the edge of the lake.

In spite of the fact that capricious spring weather can interfere with the water temperature and chase the fish away, this is the place to make a beautiful spring fish capture. The fish are really hungry after spawning and there are really good odds your capture will be significant.

If you plan to take your young one with you while going on a spring fishing trip, you can do it during the spring break. The North Florida Fishing Club opened the trout season around the middle of February.

The spotted trout and the red fish will swarm the waters of the Apalachee Bay and the waters of St. Mark’s river will be a joy to cruise for trout and red fish this time of the year.

As during the winter the large majority of lakes are frozen, making ice bridges – sometimes so thick that you can cross them with a horse pulled sleigh – fishing at the ice hole is the only option.

As surprising as it may seem the large majority of winter fishing trips are those that include making a hole in the ice. The procedure is well appreciated by those fishermen who endure the low temperature.

So far equipment is concerned, the ice hole fishing is not very complicated. 2-3 rods of 1-1.5 meters in length preferably made of bamboo or modern composite materials are more than enough.

You will also need a thin fishing line of 0.12-0.18 depending on the capture you are going for.

If the water is not very deep you can use a reel to recover the line, a mobile plastic reel being perfect for the purpose.

It is better to use a sturdy small hook to make sure the captured fish is not going to escape.

The most efficient bate – the dragonfly larva, is certainly the most fragile one, because of its segmented red body.

Of course there are ponds where the carp can be caught with the classical corn flower bate, but if this is the case make sure you cut a large enough hole to fit the fish you are going to catch.

Fishing is a relaxing and peaceful activity that is becoming more popular. To experience the joy of fishing and not have the hassles, here are a few essentials for trout fishing.First, of course, a rod is needed as without this, the fishing trip is over before it begins.

For people just starting out, a fly fishing rod that is made of graphite with light or medium action is best.

Make sure to also choose a grip for that rod that will ensure it will not easily slip out of the hands.

Another important factor, particularly for activities such as trout fishing, is what is worn on the body. Waders, as for trout fishing, a person needs to be in the water is important, as well as sunglasses, hat and even sunscreen since the sun can reflect off the water and damage the skin.

Also, fly, hooks and lots of line for the fishing rod is very important, so that there will be no need to quit early because there is no more material.

Depending on the state, a fishing license with a trout stamp may also be needed, so make sure to check out the policies in the state where the trout fishing trip is planned, and also shop around for the best prices and products for beginners to ensure a fun and relaxing camping trip.

The Wind River Range Fly-Fishing in Wyoming is one of the most popular fly fishing destinations for seasoned hikers, back packers and campers in the United States.

The Jacks River in Georgia is a major tributary to the Conasauga River and at the point where two rivers parallel each other in the middle of the Cohutta Wilderness Park.

And speaking of the Conasauga River in Georgia, the Conasauga River itself is considered by top campers and fishers to be one of the top 100 trout streams in the nation. The Conasauga River is considered a must-see experience by most seasoned fly fishermen and campers.

In northern Idaho you will find the Clearwater National Forest. And it is here at the Clearwater National Forest that some of the best and most beautiful fly fishing can be had at the Kelly Creek Fly Fishing Park.
